Touring Puppet Theatre is a course I developed as a faculty member of LBCC.  Students enrolled in this course designed and performed a touring production for local elementary schools.  During the 10 week course students prepare as a touring company, visiting elementary schools with plays ranging from traditional western fariy tales to multicultural and bilingual folk tales.  Productions included training and casting as puppeteers, musicians, voiceover and assistant director.  Students performed twice per week for a total of six weeks.  Each school received a Study Guide for classroom discussion and puppet instruction; a Q & A at the close of each performance with a tour of the 'backstage' of the puppet theatre.
